How Filstar Began
Filstar Real Estate Brokerage began in 2004 when the owner, Mr. Feliciano B. Tare, requested accreditation with Ayala Land; however, one of Ayala Land's prerequisites is a DTI permit. So, without knowing what his business name would be, Mr. Feliciano proceeded to the DTI office to obtain the permit. When filling out a form, he came up with the idea of utilizing his name.
Thus, Fil derived from his first name FELiciano, and Tar from TARE and combined them to form FILSTAR, adding an S in the middle to make it more suitable. In 2009, he opened a physical office in Teresa Rizal and began selling acquired assets of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas. After 5 years, he established a satellite office in Santa Rosa Laguna.

Mr. Feliciano B. Tare worked at V.V. Soliven Group of Companies from 1997 to 2010 as a building permit and developing permit in charge. A true working student, he studied at Jose Rizal University taking a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy. While working and studying, he took a review in the Real Estate Course (when real estate was under DTI) and successfully passed the real estate broker exam in 2003.
